As mentioned previously, we walked from Budleigh Salterton to Sidmouth on St George's Day. Following are some photos from that day that show, I think, that if you get the weather, there really is no place better than England. The English countryside looks at it's best around St George's Day, the bluebells are out, the ferns are unfolding, the meadows are coated yellow with buttercups, dandelion or cowslip, and the mayflower and gorse liven up the hedgerows.
